When copying a playlist that show a green circle meaning the iTunes library already has the song, if you "un-check" the box to copy the song (so a duplicate does not get copied) when copying the playlist will Music Rescue copy the playlist with the song included but use the song already in the iTunes library for the playlist or will it simply ignore that song and not include it in the copied playlist ?

    Hi Michael,

A playlist can only be copied when all the tracks in it are copied from the main library on the iPod at the same time, so I'd recommend copying all the songs in the required playlist, even if some of them are in iTunes already. Then use the following steps to delete any duplicates which have appeared:

    1. Open iTunes and click File --> Show Duplicates.

    2. Click View --> View Options.

    3. Make sure the 'Date Added' option is ticked and click OK.

    4. Now you can sort your list of duplicates by when each song was added, and delete the ones which where not added on the date you made a Music Rescue copy.

Let me know how you get on.

    Thanks, Alana
