Troubleshooting iPhone/iPod touch Syncing
Syncing from Clarus on your Mac to Clarus on your iPhone or iPod touch is designed to be as simple as possible. This article provides some basic troubleshooting if you're having problems.
First, make sure your iPhone or iPod touch is connected to the same Wifi network as your Mac. To check which Wifi network your Mac is on, open the Network preference pane of the System Preferences application:

To check which Wifi network your iPhone or iPod touch is on, check the WiFi section of the settings application:

Once your Mac and iPhone or iPod touch are on the same network, launch Clarus for iPhone and make sure that the Wifi symbol is present in the status bar:

If the Wifi symbol is not present, go back to the Settings application and make sure your device is connected to the network.
When your Mac and iPhone or iPod touch are on the same network, open the Clarus application on your Mac. When you open your documents, you should see an icon representing your device on the right-hand side of Clarus' toolbar:

Click the icon and follow the onscreen prompts to copy your document over to Clarus on your iPhone and iPod touch.
Common Problems
I can't connect my iPod touch or iPhone to my wireless network
iPhone and iPod touch cannot connect to "Wireless-N" networks. Consult your wireless base station's owner's manual on how to create a "Wireless-G" network that your device can connect to.

I can't connect my Mac to my wireless network
Please consult Apple's support article "AirPort Quick Assist" for detailed help on connecting your Mac to a wireless network.
I don't have a wireless network
You can create a temporary "Computer to Computer" network from your Mac to allow your iPhone to connect to it. Please see Apple's support article "Creating a computer-to-computer network" for instructions.
My network setup appears to be fine on both my iPhone or iPod touch and my Mac, but my device's icon still doesn't appear in Clarus on my Mac
Please follow the following steps, checking for success before moving to the next one:
- Make sure you're running Clarus 1.5 or higher by choosing "Check for Updates..." from the Clarus menu.
- Quit and relaunch Clarus both on your Mac and iPhone or iPod touch.
